Executive Biographies

James B. Barber - Chairman & CEO

James B. Barber is Chairman & Chief Executive Officer for Acacia Federal Savings Bank. Mr. Barber joined the bank in 1986 as a Mortgage Loan Officer and then moved through various lending roles to his current position. He has been in the banking industry for 25 years and is also very active in business and community activities. Mr. Barber is Chairman of Wesley Housing Development Corporation, a non-profit housing developer in Arlington, Virginia.

He is active in various roles and committees of the American Bankers Association. Mr. Barber graduated from Tulane University in New Orleans with a Bachelor's Degree in Economics and furthered his education by obtaining a Masters Degree in Business Administration at George Washington University. Mr. Barber is a native of Washington, D.C. and lives in Bethesda, Maryland.

Louis C. Kiessling III - President, COO, &CFO

Louis C. Kiessling, III is the President, Chief Operating Officer, and Chief Financial Officer for Acacia Federal Savings Bank. He became the President and COO on January 1, 2008. Prior to that, he was the bank’s Executive Vice President and CFO. He has been with Acacia Federal for ten years. Mr. Kiessling has spent his entire career in banking, which spans 32 years. He has held senior officer positions at four different institutions.

Mr. Kiessling earned his Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Delaware and his Masters Degree in Business Administration from Loyola College in Baltimore, Md. He serves on several committees of the American Bankers Assocation. He is on the board of directors of the Community Foundation for Northern Virginia, chairs its Audit Committee, and serves on the Executive and Investment Committees. He is also active with the Falls Church Education Foundation. Mr. Kiessling is a native of Baltimore, MD and currently resides in Oakton, VA.
